A “micromanager” is someone who pays attention to the smallest ("micro") details. The term doesn’t mean a “small manager,” but there have been several jokes.
“If your boss is a midget, it’ll mean something completely different if you say to someone, ‘my boss is a real micro-manager’” was posted on Twitter on February 26, 2009. “I would hate to have a midget boss because he would be a real micromanager” was posted on Twitter on February 1, 2010.
“My last boss was a dwarf. He was a real micromanager” was posted on Reddit—Jokes on November 3, 2017.

What is a ‘Micro Manager’
A micro manager is a boss or manager who gives excessive supervision to employees. A micro manager, rather than telling an employee what task needs to be accomplished and by when, will watch the employee’s actions closely and provide frequent criticism of the employee’s work and processes.
