“My New Year’s resolution is to help all my friends gain ten pounds so I look skinnier” was posted on Twitter on December 31, 2016.
“Lord, if I can’t be skinny, please let all my friends be fat” is a similar saying.

Above, a 1934 plaque from the Big Apple Night Club at West 135th Street and Seventh Avenue in Harlem. Discarded as trash in 2006. Now a Popeyes fast food restaurant on Google Maps.
