New York Breakfast (cold pizza; cigarettes & coffee)
Some localities have a standard humorous "breakfast." There are jokes about the "Irish breakfast" (Lucky Charms with Bailey's) and the "Kentucky breakfast" (bourbon, beefsteak, and a dog; give the beefsteak to the dog, drink the bourbon).
"Cold pizza" appears to be a popular joke "New York breakfast," but there are others, such as "coffee and cigarettes."

Sadly this girl had to give up her traditional New York breakfast - cold pizza out of the box or leftover Chinese food (en containeur). I'm almost -but not quite - over my withdrawal.

And during the off days, he stayed with us at the White Castle and he & I would share what he called a "New York Breakfast" of coffee, cigarettes and jazz.
