“No matter how you feel. Get up, dress up, show up and never give up!”

“No matter how you feel. Get up, dress up, show up and never give up!” is an inspirational saying that has been printed on many images. “Sunday Morning, Get up, Dress up, Show up and Brighten up at the FIRST BAPTIST Church, HERRIN” was printed in a 1955 newspaper. The book How to Sell to an Idiot: 12 Steps to Selling Anything to Anyone (2006) applied this to business:

“It’s simple. You need to get up, dress up, show up, step up, and follow up every day. Oh, and remember to Churchill them—never give up. “

American author and newspaper columnist Regina Brett wrote “45 reasons to say happy birthday” for The Plain Dealer (Cleveland, OH) on June 2, 2001. Brett’s follow-up column, ““45 life lessons and 5 to grow on,” on May 28, 2006, included this extra line:

“No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.”

“No matter how you feel today, get up, dress up, show up and never give up!!!” was posted on Twitter on February 11, 2011.
