“Grow a pair” means to “grow a pair of testicles—to “man up” and show courage. “Grow a pear” is a joke term. “Congress should grow a pear and Im-Peach President Bush” was cited in 2004. “Grow A Pear” (2010) is a song by Ke$ha.
