“Nothing says Happy Mother’s Day like flowers bought from a gas station”

Nothing shows a mother her Mother’s Day love like...something bought at the last minute at a gas station? Many gas stations now sell flowers, Mother’s Day cards, and gift cards, so it’s possible to buy useful things.

There are flower jokes. “Nothing says ‘I love you’ like buying $4 roses at a gas station at noon on Mother’s Day. She’ll appreciate your vodka bender stench, too” was posted on Twitter on May 10, 2009. “Nothing says Happy Mother’s Day like flowers bought from a gas station #JokeoftheDay” was posted on Twitter on May 14, 2017.

There are also Mother’s Day card jokes. “Someone was just buying a mother’s day card at the gas station.  It’s the thought that counts!” was posted on Twitter on May 9, 2010. “What?! You mean there isn’t ONE Mother’s Day card in this entire gas station?!” was posted on Twitter on May 13, 2012. “I hope this gas station sells Mother’s Day cards” was posted on Twitter on May 7, 2016.
