“On the other side of fear lies freedom” has been printed on many posters. The saying has been used as a motivational gym quote, but the source of the quotation remains unknown.
 
“Remember that on the other side of fear lies freedom” was cited in the book Who Will Cry When You Die?: Life Lessons From The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari (2003). “Reminding ourselves that on the other side of fear lies freedom” was cited in the book Stepping Stones to Self: Journey Your Inner Landscape and Discover Your Original Self (2010). The saying was popularized in 2010 with the YouTube video Rising Bean — On The Other Side Of Fear Lies Freedom!
 
Motivational speaker JB Glossinger and cancer survivor and motivational speaker Alan Hobson have been credited with the saying in 2014 and 2015, but there is no evidence that either originated it.
