Oregroanian (The Oregonian newspaper nickname)

The Oregonian is a daily newspaper published in Portland, Oregon, since 1850. The newspaper has been nicknamed The Oregroanian (Oregonian + groan) by some critics since at least 2000.

Another nickname for The Oregonian is The Boregonian.

Wikipedia: The Oregonian
The Oregonian is the major daily newspaper in Portland, Oregon, owned by Advance Publications. It is the oldest continuously published newspaper on the U.S. west coast, founded as a weekly by Thomas J. Dryer on December 4, 1850. It is the largest newspaper in Oregon and the Pacific Northwest by circulation and the 19th largest daily newspaper in the country.

The Oregonian received the 2001 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service, the only gold medal annually awarded by the organization. Writers for the paper have received four other Pulitzer Prizes, most recently the Breaking News Reporting in 2007.

I consumed a couple of rounds of my usual coffee with Baileys and finished reading Willamette Week and most of the Oregroanian during the trip.

Watch the line wrap.
I’m so disgusted I can’t even write a coherent letter to the editor right now.

And your age… The Oregroanian is obviously an agist concern - it wouldn’t accept 1900 as a year of birth, so I put in 1999. Definitely a paper for the young at heart 😉

About what you’d expect from a university “newspaper”. Or the Oregroanian, for that matter.

If this article is coming from the Oregroanian or the Associated DePressed…
I don’t think I can believe any of it.
The Oregroanian and the AP are regularly carrying the water for Obama and the democrats (including governor K).
