“People who are enjoying lockdown have ‘stuck home’ syndrome”

The 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic caused many people to be stuck at home. “Stuck home syndrome” (for Stockholm syndrome) was a popular pun, although it had been used earlier.

“In a blizzard there is a the stuck home syndrome also known as cabin fever” was posted on the newsgroup alt.humor.puns on March 9, 2010. “Friends Around the Campfire’s Stuck Home Syndrome (homemade recordings from 2009-10) now on facebooks!” was posted on Twitter by S. “What’s Corona Virus? I only know Stuck Home syndrome” was posted on Twitter by keepingitcalvin on March 15, 2020. “Stuck home syndrome. #quarantinelife” was posted on Twitter by dub sharma on March 17, 2020. “People who are enjoying lockdown have ‘stuck home’ syndrome” was posted on Twitter by Sincerely, Rey Mond Holt on April 12, 2020.

“Hoarders suffer from ‘stock home’ syndrome” is another Stockholm syndrome pun.

Wikipedia: 2019-20 coronavirus outbreak
The 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic is an ongoing global pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The outbreak was first identified in Wuhan, Hubei, China, in December 2019, and was recognised as a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) on 11 March 2020.

Wikipedia: Stockholm syndrome
Stockholm syndrome is a condition in which hostages develop a psychological alliance with their captors during captivity. Emotional bonds may be formed, between captor and captives, during intimate time together, but these are generally considered irrational in light of the danger or risk endured by the victims.

I hated the quarantine at first. Then I realized I have everything I need at my house, and I slowly started loving the isolation.
Probably it’s stock home syndrome.
