“People who use public phone boxes are either buying drugs or having an affair”

There aren’t many public phone boxes still around; people usually carry a mobile phone—or two. “Fact: People who use public phone boxes are either buying drugs or having an affair” was posted on Twitter on December 19, 2009.

The saying has been varied slightly to describe someone with two mobile phones. “I generally think people with two phone are either having an affair or selling drugs?” was posted on Twitter on February 16, 2012. “An old joke holds that anyone with two mobile phones is either dealing drugs or having an affair” was printed in Macworld in 2017.

How to use two numbers on an iPhone
Don’t get two phones - here’s how to use two numbers on the same iPhone

by David Price | May 10, 2017
An old joke holds that anyone with two mobile phones is either dealing drugs or having an affair - but in fact, there are plenty of legitimate reasons why you’d want to maintain two separate numbers.
