There’s an old “Building and Loan” joke:
 
She: Let’s play Building & Loan.
He: OK. How do you play?
She: You get out of the building and leave me alone.
 
The joke has been cited in print since at least 1930.
 
 
24 June 1930, The Era (Bradford, PA), “Strictly Home Brewed Briefs,” pg. 14, col. 7:
And we were out with a fellow just sow who said that his sweet phemme wanted to play Building and Loan when he had a date Sunday night.
 
“Building and Loan? What sort of a game is that?” we asked.
   
“She told me to get out of the building and leave her alone.”
   
15 July 1932, San Diego (CA) Union, “The Northeast Corner,” pg. 4, col. 7:
A Mission Hills man said he wanted to play building and loan games with the peddler, but the agent wasn’t so pleased when the M. H. man defined it as “Get out of my building and leave me alone.”
