“Pour yourself a drink, put on some lipstick and pull yourself together”

“Pour yourself a drink, put on some lipstick and pull yourself together” is a saying that has been credited to actress Elizabeth Taylor (1932-2011) that has been printed on many posters. It i not known when (or if) she said it.
 
“Drink this, and pull yourself together a bit” was cited in print in 1889. “Pt on some lipstick and pull yourself together” was cited in print in 1997. “Pour yourself a drink, put on some lipstick, and pull yourself together” was credited to Elizabeth Taylor on Twitter on March 23, 2011.
