Prostitute Heights (Prospect Heights High School nickname)

Prospect Heights High School opened as The Girls’ Commercial High School in the 1920s and was located near Prospect Park in Brooklyn. The school developed a poor reputation and was closed in 2006; the site now is occupied by several different schools.

The Prospect Heights High School nickname of “Prostitute Heights” was cited in print since at least January 2006. Clara Barton High School is across the street and has its own unflattering nickname of “Clara-Bortion.”

Quinn Floats Bonus Pay For Teachers

Quinn’s plan won’t work. Money is not as important as one’s mental health. I am a retired teacher and I taught in a high school dubbed by its staff as Prostitute Heights ( the school has now been ‘reorganized’, whatever that means.)

The wars between “Prostitute Heights” & “Clarabortion” were madness.

I was defending my borough
Plus the Bronx does have a rediculous aids rate
Don’t act all high and mighty
Brooklynites refer to schools with names like Prostitute Heights and Clar-Abortion and I can’t refer to the BX as aidsville

A Democratic house slave told my mother straight out, “your daughter’s assigned to Prospect Heights High School and that is where she will go.”

I remember this well, my mother looked this so-called leader in the eye and said “My daughter is not going to Prostitute Heights, she is better than that and she has the grades to prove it.”  This puppet laughed in her face, turned to me and said, “You’re going to Prospect Heights.”
