“Put the ‘T’ back in Texas”

Charlie Strong took over as head football coach for the University of Texas Longhorns in 2014. In a February 2014 interview with My Fox Austin, Strong said:

“I have a new shirt, it says ‘put the T back into Texas.’ In other words, toughness, trust, togetherness and teamwork.”

Strong’s slogan was not trademarked when he made the remark. Some cynical observers said that Texas always had a “T”—what the Longhorns needed was a “D” (defense) and an “O” (offense).

I’m still hoping someone can put the T back in Texas. It’s been over 12 hours. This is disconcerting. Had no idea we lost it. #BabbleStrong
