“Putting on a mask to walk ten feet through a restaurant…”

The 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic resulted in some requirements to wear face masks. People were required to wear a face mask to enter a restaurant, only to take off the mask to eat.

An explanation of the craziness of face masks in restaurants was posted on Twitter by Amber Athey on August 11, 2020:

“Putting on a mask to walk ten feet through a restaurant and then taking it off when I get to my table is one of the dumbest things I’ve done in my entire life and I’ve done a lot of dumb things.”

Wikipedia: 2019-20 coronavirus outbreak
