The 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic resulted in many quarantines. There is no “teen” in the word “quarantine,” but some have used “quaranadult” (quarantine + adult). A “quaranadult” is an adult under quarantine, or a quarantine for an extended period of time.

“Quaranchild” and “Quaranchildren” are similar terms. “At first, I thought I wanted a quarantine baé. But nope. Not about to get my insides dug out for the next month just to end up with a quaranchild” was posted on Twitter by Sorted to House Dereon - Stripper Peacock on March 16, 2020. “quarantine quaranadult quaranchild” was posted on Twitter by aoko aozaki on March 18, 2020. “A Quarantine implies the existence of a Quaranchild and a Quaranadult” was posted on Twitter by Mini Modu on March 18, 2020. “The existence of quarantines implies the existence of quaranchildren, quaranadults and quaranelders” was posted on Twitter by The Person Under The Stairs on March 19, 2020.
   
Similar “quarantine” portmanteau words include “quaranteen” (quarantine + teen), “quaranteenager” (quarantine + teenager) and “quarantween”  (quarantine + teen).

Maybe we need a plan for everybody and not just teens. I understand quaranteens have worked in the past but we need to Quaranelderly, Quaranadult and quaranchildren. When you single out one age group like that of course they are going to feel alienated and want to rebel.
