School For Alcoholics (Stephen F. Austin State University nickname)

Stephen F. Austin State University is a public university in Nacogdoches, Texas, that opened in 1923. “SFA” has had a reputation as a party school. The SFA nicknames “School For Alcoholics” and “Sex, Fun and Alcohol” both have been cited in print since at least 2001.

My school has some pretty good nicknames that are also true.

Stephen F. Austin State University in Texas. (SFA):
SFA- Sex, Fun, and Alcohol
SFA- School for Alcoholics
SFA- Single, Fine, and Avaliable

And since SFA is a party school, the nicknames are certaintly true.

In my mind, it isn’t necessarily a criticism for someone to say I know how to party. His comment wasn’t the problem. What nettled me instead, were his tone of voice and that ridiculous wink. He wanted me to know that he was implying much more, he literally took those “Sex, Fun & Alcohol” and “School For Alcoholics” stereotypes as gospel. He was telling me that he knew something about my character.

Changing it to 18 will help binge drinking IMHO, WHY? because most college kids under 21 drink as much alcohol as they can before they leave for the bars. By doing so they consume very large quantities in a small amount of time as oposed to the over 21 kids that have all night long to drink. I know for a fact that this is what goes on (I just got out of college in 06 and I went to the School For Alcoholics or Sex Fun and ALcohol SFA)
