“Trust the science” became a popular saying during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. However, many scientists who questioned “the science” were threatened and censored. “Science isn’t meant to be trusted. It’s meant to be tested” became a saying.

Science used to be strengthened through questioning, now it is the opposite. There is no good reason for the change, the basis of good science used to be that anything and everything can be questioned and doubted. ‘The Science’ isn’t there to be trusted, it is there to be tested.
