See B.S. (CBS nickname)

CBS (the initials of the original name of the Columbia Broadcasting System) is an American broadcast television and radio network. “See B.S.”—“b.s.” for “bullshit”—is an obvious nickname.

It’s not known who first said “See B.S.,” but the nickname is obvious. “CBS Gave us Connie Chung, and now we must See B.S.” was printed in the Washington (DC) Post on April 2, 1995.

Other CBS nicknames include “Complete Bull Shit” and “Constant Bull Shit.”

Wikipedia: CBS
CBS (an initialism of the network’s former name, the Columbia Broadcasting System) is an American English language commercial broadcast television and radio network that is a flagship property of CBS Corporation. The company is headquartered at the CBS Building in New York City with major production facilities and operations in New York City (at the CBS Broadcast Center) and Los Angeles (at CBS Television City and the CBS Studio Center).

The network has its origins in United Independent Broadcasters Inc., a collection of 16 radio stations that was purchased by Paley in 1928 and renamed the Columbia Broadcasting System.

Now it is a continuing amuzement to see the long running use of the acronym “CBS” (CBS = “See BS”) They are both definate 5 star blunders.
