“Shitlib” (shit + liberal) means a shitty liberal. The term has been cited in print since at least December 2013, and become popular in 2016 with the U.S. presidential election.

“Shitlib means someone is a shitty liberal and enables fascists” was posted on Twitter by BurgSkeletal 🏳️‍🌈 on April 27, 2019. “Shitlib An abbreviated term for a ‘shitty liberal’” was entered in the Urban Dictionary on December 12, 2019. “Again, shitlib means someone who purports to be liberal, but holds illiberal positions & are really shitty at being liberal, hence the name shitlib” was posted on Twitter by Claude Morton on October 7, 2022.
