The Drudge Report is a news aggregation website that was founded in 1995 by Matt Drudge. Some critics have called it the “Sludge Report.” “There’s also ‘The Drudge Report,’ which more appropriately might be called ‘The Sludge Report’” was printed in The Daily Oklahoman (Oklahoma City, OK) on August 21, 1997.
 
The website began as conservative, but many conservatives noticed a shift in focus in 2017, after the presidential election of Donald Trump. “THE SLUDGE REPORT: Here’s the REAL REASON why Matt Drudge has become ANTI TRUMP” was the title of a YouTube video by The Josh Bernstein Show on November 8, 2019.

After reading a couple articles in The Drudge Report, I couldn’t believe how unprofessionally it’s written. Sources aren’t named, places aren’t specified, and entire situations seem to have been created out of thin air without any questioning from the Right about whether it’s true or not.
 
Therefore I decided to write my own parody—The Sludge Report.
