“Sometimes I feel like throwing in the towel…but that would only make more laundry for me” and “Sometimes I feel like throwing in the towel, but you know what that means…more laundry” are jocular sayings that have been printed on many images. To “throw in the towel” is an idiom for quitting, and usually does not involve a literal towel.
