Spokes-tool (spokesman/spokesperson + tool)

“Spokes-tool” or “spokestool” (spokesman/spokesperson + tool) is a term used by those who believe that a spokesperson is making nonsensical, overly subservient points. The “spokes-tool” term is often directed at the White House Press Secretary, the spokesperson for the executive branch of government.

“Spokes-tool” has been cited in print since at least 2002. “Spokeshole” has been cited in print since at least 2002. Other nicknames for a spokesman/spokesperson include “spokes-hack,” “spokeshole,” “spokes-idiot,” and “spokes-liar.”

Anyway I’m no spokestool for “the man” but I hope you have luck finding what’s right for you.

Given that the US media is nothing more than a spokestool for the US govnt., it wouldn’t surprise me if that’s just more of the propaganda the US govnt. is trying to throw at us and is using the media in order to make us buy it.

Either way, good description. Do they ever have guest on whose memories DON’T begin in January, 2001?

Why I have ZERO respect for spokestools like Stephanie Cutter
by Gatordoug
I loathe people like Cutter, they are what I call walk behinders. they get paid to lie, even when everyone knows they are lying. Apparently they are OK with being no more than a puppet. To me they are at the bottom of the barrel of political trash. Sorry, I suppose that is harsh, but it is the truth! How can any person, with even a hint of self-respect, decency or integrity do what she, and those like her do? You could call them whores, but that would insult whores who actually serve some purpose!
