“This came from my girlfriend’s t-shirt but it’s a great line… Spooning leads to Forking” was cited in January 2005. “Knifing” and “sporking” are sometimes added to the line. “Spooning leads to forking… use condiments” was cited on Twitter on December 20, 2008.

“The fork spooned the knife, so the spoon knifed the fork” is a related joke.
