“Stay home, save lives” is a slogan that was used during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. Some people believed that the slogan should also apply to America’s foreign policy.

As so often the case, we were out there with our maps and measuring devices divvying up other people’s countries (see also the Indian subcontinent) - it was bound to end badly. Government advice to “Stay home, save lives” should have formerly been applied to foreign policy.
