Sudden Fried Chicken (sudden + Southern fried chicken)

A fried chicken riddle is:

Q: What do you get when lightning strikes the chicken coop?
A: Sudden fried chicken.

“Sudden friend chicken” can sound like “Southern fried chicken.” There was an American cartoon titled Sudden Fried Chicken (1946).

“Latest book on the market is called ‘The Day Lightning Struck the Chicken Coop or Sudden Fried Chicken’” was printed in The Province (Vancouver, BC) on July 3, 1958. “Lightning struck the chicken coop! Sudden fried chicken!” was posted on the newsgroup alt.mothersuperior on January 17, 2003.

“Why is it ‘the urge for takeaway’ and not ‘Sudden Fried Chicken’?” is another joke that was posted on Twitter by Simon Trevor-Wright on March 6, 2016.

Wikipedia: Fried chicken
Southern fried chicken, also known simply as fried chicken, is a dish consisting of chicken pieces which have been coated in a seasoned batter and pan-fried, deep fried, or pressure fried. The breading adds a crisp coating or crust to the exterior of the chicken while retaining juices in the meat. Broiler chickens are most commonly used.

I attended a taping of “What’s My Line?” circa 1970 and he was a panelist. He recall him telling this joke (paraphrasing here):
What do you get when the hen house is struck by lightning?
Sudden Fried Chicken.
