“Support the troops. Bring them home”

"Support our/the troops. Bring them home” is an anti-war saying that has been printed on many images. Anti-war protesters are sometimes said to be anti-troops, but this protest message uses language to reverse that perception.

“SUPPORT OUR TROOPS IN VIETNAM, BRING THEM HOME NOW!!” was printed in The Militant (New York, NY) on April 18, 1966. The saying was popular during the Vietnam War years, and has been used for subsequent wars.

In retrospect, the guy who ends every speech with “may God protect our troops” was probably always going to go along with the withdrawal agreement!
“Support the troops, bring them home,” the clever triangulating signs used to say, and now Biden has.
