“Thanks to Millennials I now have to specify if I want my coffee hot or cold”

“Coffee” has almost always meant “hot coffee,” and “iced coffee” is “cold coffee.” However, “coffee” orders now require the information “hot” or “cold.” “Thanks to Millennials I now have to specify if I want my coffee hot or cold” has been printed on an image.

“I hate that you now have to specify hot or cold when ordering a coffee” was posted on Twitter by Paul Pilone on September 3, 2011. “A bit confused that we have to specify hot or cold when we order tea/coffee, as if hot isn’t the default” was posted on Twitter by Caroline Slason on June 30, 2014. “Why is it when I ask for a coffee I have to specify if it’s hot or not? Whereas, when I ask for an iced coffee it’s understood to be cold?” was posted on Twitter by “Just, Nae will do.” on May 5, 2016.
