The expression “sound advice” usually doesn’t literally involve sound, but there are jokes. This was posted on Twitter by Reverend Scott on June 20, 2016:
SON: The car’s manual suggests not to turn the stereo up all the way.
DAD: Guess you could say-
SON: NO DON’T-
DAD: -that’s sound advice.
The joke was posted on Reddit—Dadjokes on July 20, 2019, again on Reddit—Dadjokes on December 23, 2019, and again on Reddit—Dadjokes on May 5, 2019.
“Audio engineers give sound advice” is a similar joke.
