ESPN radio’s Randy Galloway has called Texas the “Chicken Fried Kingdom.” The term is from the popular Texas dish, chicken fried steak, with a hint of Disney’s “Magic Kingdom” added.

Randy Galloway is the host of Galloway and Company, the drive-time program on KESN 103.3 FM, ESPN Radio’s Dallas affiliate. He is also a columnist for the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram.
Previously, Galloway has been a columnist for The Dallas Morning News and a radio host for News/Talk 820 WBAP.
Listeners have become accustomed to Galloway’s trademark wit and sarcasm as well as his deep Texas drawl.

The Magic Kingdom is a theme park within the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, near Orlando. It is owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company through its Walt Disney Parks and Resorts unit. Opened on October 1, 1971, it is the most famous Florida theme park. Designed and built by WED Enterprises (now known as Walt Disney Imagineering), the park’s layout and attractions are similar to Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California, which opened in 1955. It saw 16,640,000 guests in 2006 making it the most visited theme park in the world.
