“The first five florists I called today knew absolutely nothing about laying carpet or tile…”

A “florist” (someone who sells flowers) is not the same as a “floorist” (a seldom-used term for some who sells or repairs floors), but there are jokes.

“The first 5 florists I called knew nothing about carpet or tile… and suddenly I’m the idiot. Go figure” was posted on Twitter by Alice Mills on February 1, 2020. “The first three florist I called knew nothing about carpet or tile. Now I’m the idiot?!?” was posted on Facebook by Steven T. Hanenburg later on February 1, 2020. “The first five florists I called today knew absolutely nothing about laying carpet or tile. And suddenly I’m the idiot…..” was posted on Reddit—Dadjokes on September 3, 2020. Authorship of the joke is unknown.
