“The Front Page of the Internet” (Reddit slogan)

The slogan of Reddit (a discussion website) is “The Front Page of the Internet.” The slogan has not been trademarked.

“Looking at: reddit all—customizable front page of the internet and epic waster of time” was posted on Twitter on April 9, 2009. However, the slogan began to be used officially in June 2011. “Reddit’s changed homepage title from ‘the voice of the internet’ to ‘the front page of the internet’. Is this new?” was posted on Twitter on June 24, 2011.

Wikipedia: Reddit
Reddit (/ˈrɛdɪt/) is an American social news aggregation, web content rating, and discussion website. Registered members submit content to the site such as links, text posts, and images, which are then voted up or down by other members. Posts are organized by subject into boards called “subreddits”, which cover a variety of topics including news, science, movies, video games, music, books, fitness, food, and image-sharing. Submissions with more up-votes appear towards the top of their subreddit and, if they receive enough votes, ultimately on the site’s front page. Despite strict rules prohibiting harassment, Reddit’s administrators spend considerable resources on moderating the site.

4 December 2011, Washington (DC) Post, “Reddit: Democracy at its most viral” by Melissa Bell, pg. T5:
The site is designed like many popular social media sites. It has specific “subreddits,” message boards dedicated to specific topics. People post comments and links and other users vote - up or down - on the posts to let the best material rise to the top. Making it to the front page of Reddit, by being voted up enough times, is seen as a mark of huge success. It’s part of the brazenness of the site, whose motto is “The Front Page of the Internet.”

Reddit’s slogan is “The front page of the internet”. What would be a more accurate slogan?

Reddit’s CEO talks about his plans to upgrade the ‘front page of the internet’
By Eric Brackett — Posted on November 11, 2017 11:38 am
More than a decade after its founding, Reddit is getting a new look. The popular news agitator and discussion forum has been a staple of the internet for some time, but its user interface leaves a bit to be desired, and Reddit CEO Steve Huffman is committed to addressing that issue.
