“Lookin’ for Love (in all the wrong places)” was a son in the movie Urban Cowboy (1980). “Looking for love in Alderaan places” is a Star Wars movie joke.
 
“Honey, you’ve been looking for love in Alderaan places!” was posted on the newsgroup alt.fan.starwars on May 21, 1999. The joke as been printed on many images.
 
Star Wars should not be confused with Star Trek. “A lonely Trekkie at a Star Wars convention is looking for love in Alderaan places” was posted on Twitter by John Brewer on January 8, 2016. “Did you hear about the Trekkie who was trying to pick up girls at a Star Wars convention?He was looking for love in Alderaan places” was posted on Twitter by WorkFun on February 16, 2020.
