“The only thing that travels faster than light is weekends” is a jocular saying that has been printed on many images. “Ok, so why is it that the weekends whiz by faster than light speed?” was posted on Twitter by Andi Wolfe on July 18, 2009. “Weekends run faster than light!” was posted on Twitter by SDI on August 31, 2009.
The expression went viral in March 2016. “The only thing that travels faster than light is Weekends” was posted on Twitter by Dr. Jaspreet Singh on March 15, 2016. This wording probably came from an image.
