“There’s Only One New York” (NY1 News)
Cable channel one (ny1.com) is "NY1," Time Warner cable's 24-hour news channel devoted to New York City. It's popular for its "weather on the ones" updates. There's a news update every half hour. There are shows about politics, sports, and Broadway.
"There's only one New York" has been its slogan from the beginning, in the early 1990s. However, the words were even uttered by Babe Ruth!

NEW YORK, March 23 /PRNewswire/ -- The Time Warner New York City Cable Group announced today that its 24-hour, New York City all-news channel, New York 1 News, will be launched in September on Channel 1 in all Time Warner cable systems in New York, now serving some 800,000 households.
In making the announcement, Richard Aurelio, president of the Time Warner New York City Cable Group, said: "There's only one New York, and this is the number one television market, so it's only appropriate that our news channel be number one on the cable dial."
