“Time flies” means that time passes quickly. Time doesn’t literally “fly,” but there are jokes.
“Time flies when you throw your watch” was posted on the newsgroup alt.humor.jewish on July 13, 2004. “Time flies when you’re throwing watches” was posted on Twitter by Natasha J on July 4, 2010.
“Why did the man throw a clock out the window?”/“To see time fly” and “Time flies when you throw away calendars” are similar “time” riddles.
