“A guy walks into a bar...” is a typical form of what has been called the “bar joke.” An elf version is:

“Two elves walk into a bar. The dwarf laughs and walks under it.”

The joke was posted on Twitter by Brian Glenn (Yuri The Fox) on August 18, 2011.

“An elf walks into a bar. A dwarf laughs then walks under it” was posted on Twitter by Gandalf Greybeard on March 18, 2012.

“Dwarf” is replaced with “hobbit” in some versions of the joke.
