“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—I took the one with a Starbucks drive-thru”

American poet Robert Frost (1874-1963) wrote in the poem “The Road Not Taken” (1916):

“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I — I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.”

There have been drive-thru versions that have been printed on many images. “Two roads diverged in a yellow wood.  The overgrown one looked kind of fun, but the other had a Starbucks” was posted on Twitter on March 22, 2009. “Two roads diverged, and I - I took the one with a Starbucks Drive Thru, and that has made all the difference. #parenting #TrueStory” was posted on Twitter on February 1, 2016.

“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—I took the one with tacos” is another jocular version of Frost’s poem.

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
(...)
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I —
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Two roads diverged in the woods. I took the one more traveled. It led to Starbucks. And that has made all the difference. #Frost
