United Package Smashers or United Parcel Smashers (United Parcel Service or UPS nickname)

The United Parcel Service (UPS) is a global package delivery company that was founded in 1907. Some packages don’t arrive intact; the nickname “United Package Smashers” has been cited in print since at least 1994 and “United Parcel Smashers” since 1996.

Other UPS nicknames include “Big Brown,” “Buster Brown” and “OOPS.”

Wikipedia: United Parcel Service
United Parcel Service, Inc. (NYSE: UPS), typically referred to by the acronym UPS, is an American global package delivery company headquartered in Sandy Springs, Georgia, United States. It delivers more than 15 million packages a day to 6.1 million customers in more than 220 countries and territories around the world.

UPS is well known for its brown trucks, internally known as package cars (hence the company nickname “Brown”). UPS also operates its own airline (IATA: 5X, ICAO: UPS, Call sign: UPS) based in Louisville, Kentucky.

What does UPS really mean?

If you can you might save a bit but then if things go wrong (United Parcel Smashers kick your box off the back of the truck) then you can be out more.  I try to support my local distributors so I will always have future convienience but if they don’t have what I want then I order abroad. If you can’t tell, I had bad experiences with “the smashers” (UPS) the last was my indexing head, a 145lb block of steel and they irrepairibly broke it.

United Package Smashers
Not trying to cut down the company at all. This is reality and things can be done to eliminate unnecessary exceptions, damages etc. on all levels of freight and package moving/handling.

Hey, maybe the UPS driver is also your snowplow driver!
I’ve always called UPS United Parcel Smashers.
To that we can now add United Postbox Smashers.
