“Virgin Margarita? You mean green sadness water?”

A “Virgin Margarita” contains no alcohol. This was posted on Twitter by El Arroyo (as shown on the sign of this restaurant from Austin, Texas) on September 7, 2021:

“VIRGIN MARGARITA? YOU MEAN GREEN SADNESS WATER?”

“Decaf coffee? You mean brown sadness water?” is a related saying.

For some of us, alcohol is sadness water and leads to a terrible path,  hence virgin drinks which keep our lives very happy.
When life gives you virgin margaritas, just say it’s lemonade!

“Green Sadness Water” just sounds like what Eleanor of The Good Place would call a virgin margarita.
