Pro athletes aren’t allowed to bet on their games but members of Congress can invest in companies they have influence over. We cannot allow this to continue

Last year, 105 congressmen bought and sold nearly $290 million worth in stock. They beat the S&P 500. It’s almost like they cheated.

I mean, pro athletes aren’t allowed to make bets on games. Congress people low what bills will affect which companies. How is it fair that they get to invest in stocks they can make laws to affect?

Question:
We don’t let athletes bet on games that they have the ability to influence.
So why do we allow members of congress to invest in companies they regulate?

WHY DO WE ALLOW
