“We go together like Corona and lime”

"We go together like Corona and lime” is a popular saying that has been printed on images. Corona is a pale lager that is imported in the United States from Mexico. “Her and twitter go together like Corona & Lime” was posted on Twitter by Angela Pangela on November 13, 2009. “She said we go together like corona and lime :O hahahaha” was posted on Twitter by Maude Louiseу on December 24, 2009.

“Cinco de Mayo and Corona go together like…well, a lime and a Corona. #CincoCorona” was posted on Twitter by Corona USA on May 2, 2012.

“We go together like biscuits and gravy” is another popular food/drink combination. “We go together like cocaine and waffles” is a jocular saying that is somewhat similar.

Wikipedia: Corona (beer)
Corona Extra is a pale lager produced by Cervecería Modelo in Mexico for domestic distribution and export to all other countries besides the United States, and by Constellation Brands in Mexico for export to the United States. The Corona brand is one of the top-selling beers worldwide. Outside Mexico, Corona is commonly served with a wedge of lime or lemon in the neck of the bottle to add tartness and flavor.

In the US, Corona Extra is the top selling imported beer.
