“What are murder hornets and how much toilet paper do we need to buy?”

The 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic resulted in panic buying—and shortages—of toilet paper. In 2020, the United States also experienced from Asia an invasion of “murder hornets.”
   
“What are murder hornets and how much toilet paper do we need to buy to stop them?” is a joke that was posted on Twitter by Jacob on May 4, 2020. “What are murder hornets and how much toilet paper do we need to buy?” was posted on Twitter by Scott Dray a few minutes later on May 4, 2020.

It is native to temperate and tropical East Asia, South Asia, Mainland Southeast Asia, and parts of the Russian Far East.
