“What are the two things you can’t eat for breakfast?” (riddle)

“What are the two things you can’t eat for breakfast?” is a classic food riddle. “Lunch and dinner” is the answer.

“You know, there are two things that I can’t eat for breakfast—lunch and dinner” was told on a 1951 episode of the television situation comedy I Love Lucy. However, the joke probably dates to a vaudeville routine many years earlier.

“What can you never eat for Thanksgiving dinner?”/“Breakfast or lunch” is a similar riddle.
