The word “floret” (a cluster of flower buds) is pronounced in English as “floor it.” In French, the word “floret” sounds like “floor-ay.” There have been several “Floor it!” (meaning a gas pedal all the way down to the floor) puns.

Floret” was posted on Reddit—Jokes on September 13, 2017.
 
“I keep randomly shouting out ‘Broccoli’ and ‘Cauliflower’—I think I might have florets” is another “floret” joke.
