A Thanksgiving turkey riddle is:
Q: What did the turkey say before it was roasted?
A: “Boy! I’m stuffed!”
The joke has been cited in print since at least 1973. “Who doesn’t eat on Thanksgiving?”/“A turkey because it is always stuffed” and “Why didn’t the teddy bear eat dessert?”/“Because he was stuffed” are similar “stuffed” riddles.

Above, a 1934 plaque from the Big Apple Night Club at West 135th Street and Seventh Avenue in Harlem. Discarded as trash in 2006. Now a Popeyes fast food restaurant on Google Maps.
