“What do you call an enchilada in England?"/"A centimeterilada.”

There are no inches in the word “enchilada,” but there are jokes about a “centimeterlada” or “centimeterilada.”

“Is this an enchilada or a centimeterlada?” was posted on Twitter by text40404 on November 21, 2010. “Enchiladas, or as the Europeans call them, ‘Centimeterladas’” was posted on Twitter by Cooper Elliott on September 20, 2020.  “They don’t have enchiladas in Europe. They have centimeterladas” was posted on Reddit—Dadjokes on December 26, 2020.

“i’m opposed to the US adopting the metric system because I don’t want to refer to ‘enchilada’ as ‘centimeteriladas’ like the UN wants” was posted on Twitter by Lord Beef on January 7, 2015. “What do you call an enchilada in England? Everywhere else they’re centimeteriladas” was posted on Reddit—Dadjokes on May 15, 2018.

“Gringo conversions: 12 enchiladas = 1 footilada” is a related joke.

Wikipedia: Enchilada
An enchilada (/ˌɛntʃɪˈlɑːdə/, Spanish: [entʃiˈlaða]) is a corn tortilla rolled around a filling and covered with a savory sauce. Enchiladas can be filled with various ingredients, including meats, cheese, beans, potatoes, vegetables or combinations. Sauces can also be used to cover enchiladas, including chili-based sauces, such as salsa roja, various moles, or cheese-based sauces, such as chile con queso. Originating in Mexico, enchiladas are a common dish in Mexican cuisine.
