“What does an atheist do when he drives up behind a car with a ‘Honk if you love Jesus’ sticker…”

"Honk if you love Jesus” is a popular bumper sticker that has been cited in print since at least 1971. A question was posted on the newsgroup alt.religion.christian-teen on March 28, 1999:

“What does an atheist do when he drives up behind a car with a ‘Honk if you love Jesus’ bumper sticker and that car doesn’t move when the traffic light turns green?”

In February 2020, a meme with a The Twilight Zone theme was posted on Facebook

“Imagine, if you will, an atheist stuck at a green light behind a car with a ‘Honk if you love Jesus’ bumper sticker.”

I wonder what an atheist would do if stuck behind a car that wasn’t moving at a green light & had a bumper sticker on it that said “Honk if you love Jesus.”

It’s been a while since I had one of those instances where two posts appear consecutively on my newsfeed that are just perfect for each other. And then today…
Post #1: (Twilight Zone meme) “Imagine, if you will, an atheist stuck at a green light behind a car with a ‘Honk if you love Jesus’ bumper sticker.”
Very next post: “Most Christians are waiting at a green light when Jesus has already said “go”. “
You just can’t make this stuff up!
