Wikipedia: Cheddar cheese
Cheddar cheese is a relatively hard, off-white (or orange if spices such as annatto are added), sometimes sharp-tasting (i.e., bitter), natural cheese. Originating in the English village of Cheddar in Somerset, cheeses of this style are produced beyond this region and in several countries around the world.

Cheddar is the most popular type of cheese in the UK, accounting for 51% of the country’s £1.9 billion annual cheese market. It is the second-most popular cheese in the US (behind mozzarella), with an average annual consumption of 10 lb (4.5 kg) per capita. The US produced approximately 3,000,000,000 lb (1,300,000 long tons; 1,400,000 tonnes) in 2014, and the UK 258,000 long tons (262,000 tonnes) in 2008.

Wikipedia: Havarti
Havarti (Danish pronunciation: [hæˈvɑːti]) or Cream Havarti (Danish: flødehavarti) is a semisoft Danish cow’s milk cheese. It is a table cheese that can be sliced, grilled, or melted.

In 1852, Havarti cheese was named after the Havarthigaard in Øverød, north of Copenhagen, where the owner, Hanne Nielsen, had developed modern cheesemaking in Danish agriculture during the last half of the 19th century. Havarti was, however, not introduced in Denmark until around 1920.

Wikipedia: Jarlsberg cheese
Jarlsberg (/ˈjɑːrlzbɜːrɡ/; Norwegian: [²jɑːɭsbærɡ]) is a mild cow’s-milk cheese with large regular holes, that originates from Jarlsberg, Norway. Although it originated in Norway, it is also produced in Ohio and Ireland under licenses from Norwegian dairy producers.

We got a box of cheese jokes for Christmas. Son’s absolute favourite (a.k.a. the only one he definitely fully understands) is quite topical today.
