“When enough people understand reality, tyrants can literally be ignored out of existence”

“When enough people understand reality, tyrants can literally be ignored out of existence. They can’t ever be voted out of existence” is a saying that has been printed on several images. Author, blogger and filmmaker Larken Rose wrote this on Facebook on October 29, 2015.

The passage states that voting is a game that gives legitimacy to an illegitimate system. Tyrants can’t be voted out of existence. The way to fight tyrants is to disobey and resist them, and to ignore their illegitimate laws.

A lot of people still insist that voting and campaigning is the only recourse we have to try to achieve freedom. The exact opposite is true. Those in power have trained the public to believe that the “political process” is the “voice” of the people, and that it is what civilized people use to achieve change. In reality, the people have been trained to play that game precisely because those in power know it will eat up the people’s time and energy while achieving exactly nothing for them. Playing the political game IS doing nothing—actually, it is WORSE than doing nothing, as it legitimizes their supposed “authority” by giving the illusion of consent. The only way out is in the exact opposite direction: getting enough people to see how bogus the entire game is, until people disobey and resist. Ultimately, when enough people understand reality, tyrants can literally be IGNORED out of existence. They can’t ever be voted out of existence.
